What the Project Was

The Boyne Greenway — a scenic path that follows the River Boyne and links countryside with urban life — supports a surprising range of plant and animal life. This project aimed to:

  • Record and celebrate species and habitats along the Greenway

  • Encourage walking and discovery of nature close to the town

  • Share information with residents, walkers and visitors

  • Support ongoing care and protection of green spaces

Rather than a one-off event, Other Nations 2 provided insight and inspiration for people to look more closely at the natural world around them.

Why It Matters

The Boyne Greenway is more than a walking route — it’s a living ecosystem that supports birds, insects, plants and other wildlife. Projects like Other Nations 2 help communities understand that nature isn’t only found in remote natural parks — it thrives alongside where people live, walk, and gather.
