Get Colouring with Drogheda Tidy Towns

In 2022, Drogheda Tidy Towns launched a series of Drogheda Tidy Towns colouring pages for local families, schools, and community groups to enjoy and explore themes linked to our town’s environment and heritage.

About the Competition

The Get Colouring competition encouraged people of all ages to express themselves through colour and illustration. Entrants were asked to colour or creatively reinterpret selected images reflecting Drogheda’s landscape, history and vibrant character.

The goal was simple:

  • Inspire creativity among young people

  • Encourage local pride and connection with place

  • Make art accessible and fun for everyone

Participants submitted artwork that celebrated their view of Drogheda — from the River Boyne and historical landmarks to neighbourhood parks and wildlife.

  • Clear submission instructions and contact details

Families, schools and community groups were invited to take part, adding a fun collaborative element for children and adults alike.

Celebration & Recognition

Once submissions closed, the entries were reviewed by a panel of judges made up of local volunteers, artists and community representatives. Recognised artwork received:

The creativity, colour and variety of interpretations highlighted the talent and spirit present within the community.
